“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
I had some precious alone time yesterday, my head was clear, the kids were asleep, the door was open and the sun was shining in. I sat in my favourite spot, my little red couch and I wrote this post and then I (thought I had) scheduled it. I had written thoughtfully, spell checked, edited, chuckled at my own witty comments and truly enjoyed my bloggy-party-for-one.
Flash forward to me this morning trying to figure out why it hadn’t popped up, then searching in ‘posts’ then realising that it is gone. Gutted.
Let me try to recreate it with a toddler sitting on my elbow and a bub in the pram almost asleep – it’s not going to be anywhere near as entertaining. Or grammatically correct, or legible.
First I talked about how every time I lay little mate on the floor for a photoshoot, Scout lies down next to him and it makes her look like a giant which is hilarious because she is only two and a midget at that. Then I talked about how he is a dream baby and I seriously can’t believe I won the baby lotto twice. (Now she has moved from my elbow to my foot and is yelling “giddy-up”)
Next I talked about how Jodi from Che and Fidel is a freakin genius and this little 52 week project she created is fan-bloody-tastic. Not only am I taking better pics, I am also discovering lots of new blogs. From this little portrait party I followed the thumbnail from this lovely picture to Pink Ronnie and then spent an hour reading her amazing blog. It is the kind of blog that makes you jealous it’s not yours, along with her house – it’s amazing and has actually just been featured on A Beautiful Mess. I have no idea how I have never seen it before, especially as she is a northern beaches local. (like I was until 6 months ago)
Then I chatted about how…look, the moment is gone, which is a real pity because it was quite a cute little post if I do say so myself. Now I am just going to have to wrap this up as I am only writing three words at a time between rocking the pram of a grizzly bub and answering toddler questions about emus and their opinions of baked beans.
Enjoy the pic xoxo Babs

Don’t you just hate it when the perfect post disappears into the ether … how come that never happens to the dodgy ones?
Gorgeous picture though :0)

I think blogging, nursing and answering inquisitive toddlers is an amazing show of multi-tasking. I have a 3 year old and a 6 week old and I find myself getting more and more talented splitting myself amongst 3 tasks.. one for baby, one for boy and whatever is left for me!
Love the blog. Its darling! I am grateful to Meet Me at Mikes for sending me this way. Ive blogloved you. (I like making up verbs)

But this post is real. And that is what life is. I am commenting in bed, sound relaxing? Well my 20 month old is bomb diving and the laptop goes flying. So comments are not proof read or spell checked. But I would not have it any other way.

Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
