4 healthy breakfast milkshakes – for kids

I don’t stress when my kids refuse to eat breakfast. I’m like, ok. Just have a milkshake. #suckers

I don't stress when my kids refuse to eat breakfast. I'm like, ok. Just have a milkshake. #suckers

Nothing they actually eat is going to be as healthy as the milkshakes they will drink so it works well. Here are some of our faves, all recipes make two mini bottles full. 

 Blue Banana Milkshake

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 a cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 of a frozen banana
  • five almonds
  • a tablespoon of oats
  • a tablespoon of chia seeds

Cheeky Monkey Milkshake

  • 1 cup of milk
  • ice
  • a tablespoon of cacao
  • a banana
  • a tablespoon of peanut butter
  • a teaspoon of honey

Coco Raspberry Milkshake

  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
  • a banana
  • a teaspoon of honey 
  • a tablespoon of oats

"Strawberry Milk"

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 handful of mixed berries
  • a frozen banana
  • a handful of almonds
  • a tablespoon of coconut oil

    I am so glad I am not the only one who turns breakfast into liquid for the kids. Gotta love a fussy 3 year old and an almost one year old who think they rule the house.
    We do a chocolate, avo, yogurt & oats smoothie when times are really tough. 🙂
