Around Here – Winters at the Beach

Hello lovelies, huge apology for the silence lately. 

I got a new job and we have all just been finding our feet. 

It's funny, everything had to change around here really quickly, my parents had to come down for the first week so I could go into the office and learn the ropes, hubby had to think about things like kiddy lunches and the kids had to deal with me not being here so much. 

I felt like everything had been rearranged to accompany my new job (which I will get to in a second) but then there I was, the midnight before week two day one – sitting on the floor of the shower covered in Squawk spew, thinking about how no amount of organisation or pre-hair-blowdrying can truly tame mum life. 

My parents have been a godsend, lots of friends have generously offered to help out with pick-ups and drop-offs and it makes me feel super grateful.

Anyway, we wandered down the beach after the big storm the other week (how full on are the sand cliffs) and the light was beautiful. I took about a million pictures because I want to remember this time perfectly, and with the hectic-ness of my mind right now, I really need to focus on what's right in front of me. 

And you know, searching for treasure on the beach is pretty special. They got their shells, I got my pictures – happy days.
