DIY Easter wall hanging tutorial – for a rainy day

DIY Easter Egg wall hanging tutorial (3 of 6)

Hello lovely people.

Happy Easter week!

Right this second is the most blissful I have felt in forever, it is raining outside, I have one kid asleep and one colouring in, I am laying on the couch with a hot cup of tea beside me and the laptop is quietly buzzing away on my lap ( I should probably get that checked).

I am a total Summer person but the heat really started to get to me these last few weeks, it was like…yeah, we get it, that’s enough.

This change of weather always makes me happy, I remember the day we bought the lady home from the hospital, almost five years ago, it was overcast and cold enough for trackies, we got out of the car and I smelt wood smoke for the first time, then we all descended into that perfect newborn cocoon for a week.

Three weeks later we were smack bang in the middle of Summer again but it was all good, because I got that break from it. This Easter weather bring me right back to that special time, and it is perfect for crafting and eating chocolate and drinking tea so we are making the most of it.

Anyway, the point of this post it to show you what we have been making, an Easter egg wall hanging. Want to make one too?

You will need

Some pretty paper
Washi tape if you have some
A nice stick
Paint
String of some type

Directions

Paint your stick to make it pretty then let it dry. Cut out some egg shapes from fancy paper, we used some pages from Flow magazine and also stuck some washi tape on plain paper and cut that out. Next tie the string around it (I used t-shirt yarn) and stick the eggs to it with the washi tape. Simple.

Happy Easter.
