As Winter settles in and our little garden is free from bindies and flies. As the sun is warming instead of burning and I have the need to keep the cozy levels high in the house – it’s time to send them out.
The grass is calling.
It's strange,
I always feel bad when I send the kids outside.
It's usually when they're niggling at each, the house is a mess and I'm at the end of my tether.
The part of my brain that believes it's good for kids to be outside and wants them to enjoy a natural childhood somehow always get's lost and I just feel like I'm being mean.
It's probably related to the whole end-of-my-tether thing.
But as Winter settles in and our little garden is free from bindies and flies. As the sun is warming instead of burning and I have the need to keep the cozy levels high in the house – it's time to send them out.
The grass is calling.
And if they resist? A play-picnic may just get them enthusiastic.

Thanks to Vienna Woods for the umbrella and Pinch Me Beautiful for the playmate. Funny story; their dads were best friends at the same age.
