May Wishlist – from The Finders Keepers Market

May 13, 2015 by Babs 5 Comments

The Sydney Finders Keepers Markets are my favourite place to visit my fave brands and fine some new ones. It did not disappoint!

May Wishlist - from the Finders Keepers Market - patchwork Cactus

I headed out the The Finders Keepers Markets in Sydney in Friday night, did you? Man it was good. I could write a post all about the mac & cheese burger I had for dinner but I won't (today – guessing I may try to recreate it sometime soon though and I'll be sure to blog that) what I will blog about are my fave stalls of the night. Also, Bec from Pinch Me Beautiful came with me and she also put together a roud-up post so you should go and check that out too. Enjoy.

1) Into the Fold – Quirky weatherproof cushions that can be carted around from picnics to bedrooms and everywhere in between. Usually seen on Instagram with an  insta-famous kid perched on top.

2) The Supercool – If for some horrible reason I had to replace everything in my house, I would start here.

3) Enemies Yay – The love-child of Pete Cromer and Laura Blythman, this artistic collaboration is so much better than any phrase I could think of to describe them. So yeah, good. Real good.

4) Milk and Masuki – What can I say, they came, they delivered, as always. Comfortable, hard wearing and beautifully designed children's clothing. Love your work guys.

5) The Assembly – I had never heard of these guys before but it was love at first sight, I just wanted to touch every handcrafted, wood, linen and wire goodness in their stall.

6) Freddy Alphabet – Another of my all time faves, cheeky and loud children's clothing that is all printed by hand. I can't forget to mention their rad-tastic posters and cushions too.

I am heading to Brisbane’s turn in July. I will be finally popping my Finders Keepers cherry. So excited!! Looks like I best start saving or seriously clear a credit card!

Just get a new card. hehe. Seriously though, I went a few years ago and it was really expensive, like $400 rings. But this time it was much cheaper as a whole. You could still do some major damage though.

  • Homemade slushees | orange juice + ice + blended. The kids smash them on a hot afternoon. 👍🏼 (we do get real slushees too, I’m not running a sugar free land of organic lollipops here, my kids are 5 and 7 a that ship has sailed! But it’s nice to keep it natural when we can.) 🛳 👋🏼
  • My friend took this photo of Squawk and I a few years ago. I never shared it because of my double chin. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ hindsight is 20:20 #getthefuckinthepicture #sharetheshitoutofit #proofofmum
  • I was on this Facebook group the other day (Shoutout -LMBDW 🤟🏼) and someone posted about being really tired. She was asking for advice about how everyone handles the exhaustion of life. There were so many people talking about exercise and healthy eating, essential oils and meditation. And that’s all good stuff. But also, it’s not ok to constantly feel crap, but so many of us accept it. I was like, go and get a check up!
So I thought I would pop a reminder up here for you all - Go to an Dr, get a full service and persist if you are unhappy with the outcome.
I just got mine done and if you want to get in sync, I promise I’ll remind you again here in two years time. 🦆

  • I never know if I should post lunchboxes here. it feels a bit weird. Some people on the gram make the most incredible Instagram worthy things and I feel like these are just... lunchboxes 🤷🏻‍♀️ But then I remember that most of us aren’t going to cut things into stars and spend hours of the weekend baking home-made Vegemite scrolls and sometimes it’s really nice to get some new ideas and be like.... oh, twiggy sticks. I should totally pack them. Ya know? #patchworklunchbox (swipe for more or follow the hashtag)
  • 3 years ago today! Still my favorite of all the photos I have ever taken, and it was just snapped on my phone. Today he’s at school instead of passed out naked in a box full of toys. And if that doesn’t perfectly represent how average having to grow up is, I don’t know what does. #squawklife
