Pear and Brie Brioche Burger

November 13, 2015

This burger is my Friday night go-to. It makes dinner worth cooking, it rocks my world. Caramelised Brie and pear brioche burgers for the win.

Caramalised Pear and Brie Brioche Burger Recipe

Oh man this burger.

Born out of the need to eat something different for Friday night dinner, we were in a funk. A huge funk.

So I was wandering around a certain supermarket, perusing swimmers and digital TV aerials. American BBQ sauce and meat smokers when I bumped into my lady-love wifey/neighbour. She handed me some Brioche buns, I gasped. The rest is a love story.

Pear and Brie are two of my fave things to put together. I'm obnoxious like that. It has taken Pac-man a really long time to get his head around the way I eat. And I am still trying to convince him that this is a bonafied flavour combo. Not just one of my stoner throwbacks. Anyway, you probs want to know how to make this fabulous caramalised pear and brie brioche burger so I will stop banging on and let you know.

Ingredients

Two Brioche buns
One pear
Half a wheel of Brie
One onion
A tablespoon of brown sugar
A dollup of butter
Fresh herbs – I used basil and parsley
Two beef paddies – whatever type you want

Directions

Slice the pear and onion in a chunky sort of way and cook it over medium heat in a pan with the butter and brown sugar until the onions are soft. In another pan cook up your burger patties.

When the patties are almost done pop a bit of cheese on top of each of them so it melts good. Now build your burger. Now take a million pictures of it before you eat it. Well that's what I do.
