The Best Stuffing Recipe Ever

July 14, 2015

The best stuffing recipe ever, seriously, I don’t usually do stuffing but this stuff is AMAZING!

Panko Stuffing Recipe - Patchwork Cactus

Look, stuffing can be, well, a little stuffy so it isn't the type of thing I would usually share here but hot damn this recipe is good stuff – ing.

Firstly, apologies for the average pictures. I had to use my phone camera because I'm on a accidental holiday (long story) and well, stuffing is ugly as sin. There is no way to get around it.

Ok, that was the first disclaimer, now here is the next one. This is not my recipe, it is an ancient family recipe passed down from my Dad to me. Hahaha, kidding, pretty sure there were no Panko breadcrumbs in Ireland in the 1950's. This is not ancient, but it is my Dad's and it is bloody amazing. Click here to follow Patchwork Cactus on Pinterest

Ingredients

Two eggs
A bunch of asparagus (just snap off the ends)
2/3 of a cup of cashews
Four slices of black forest ham
Salt and pepper to taste
A teaspoon of crushed garlic
A bag of Panko breadcrumbs

Directions

Mix everything except the breadcrumbs in a bowl and then add the crumbs until it is thick enough to hold its shape. Now stuff it in something feathered (preferably plucked) and bake as usual.

We had it in boned spatchcock, it was fancy as hell.

I remember when I was little I actually loved stuffing. Then one day all of a sudden, I HATED it. Still do! But THIS actually sounds like it would be my jam.

I’m not a fan of stodgy stuffing but this sounds delish x

I could happily sit down to a plate of stuffing and roast veggies, it’s my favourite part of a roast! Thanks for linking up with us for Fabulous Foodie Fridays, I hope you have a great weekend 🙂

A great stuffing can make or break a bird. I never thought to add asparagus to the mix. Yum! #FFF
