I am savouring this last year before school drop offs and weekend sport. But I’m also super excited to watch the lady run the beach with the nippers come Summer.
Knowing that this time is fleeting is bittersweet.
We had friends over for dinner on Saturday night (pulled pork sliders on soft white bread rolls for the adults, Dorito sandwiches for the kids.) They fell asleep on the couch in their clothes, fire cranking, parents laughing.
These are the nights they will remember, who am I to ruin them with vegetables and teeth brushing.
So the day started slowly, with showers, bacon and egg rolls, a Miffy marathon, a trip to the farmers market and some milkshakes. And then there was naps all round.
Obviously.
I am savouring this last year before school drop offs and weekend sport. But I'm also super excited to watch the lady run the beach with the nippers come Summer.
Knowing that this time is fleeting is bittersweet.

What a beautiful weekend. I also can not wait until the boys are old enough to start nippers – but appreciating the fact that we don’t have to do weekend sport yet {and for the fact that we don’t have to do Canberra Winter weekend sport, now that we have moved to Sydney}.

The sport thing is crazy! I went and hung with a friend while her son did soccer training tonight, we could see our breath, it was COLD and long, and I will be packing a thermos when it’s my time!
