DIY rubber stamps for wrapping paper, cards and gift tags

December 16, 2012

DIY wrapping paper

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas crafting! I had much grander plans of weeks and weeks but my other plans played out and I have been flat out moving.

So here is a simple DIY rubber Christmas Tree stamp tutorial  that you can use for cards, wrapping paper or gift tags.

All you need is

  • An ink pad
  • A rubber eraser
  • A knife
  • Brown paper or cardboard

Directions

  • On a chopping board, carefully cut the rubber into a triangle shape with a knife making sure to keep the off cuts.
  • Next stamp a triangle shape like picture #1, then add another like picture #2 and use one of the ends of the offcuts to add a trunk like picture #3
  • Remember when making cards or gift tags, you can find cardboard everywhere. Cereal boxes and other packaging work perfectly.

Merry Christmas to everyone in Patchwork land. I hope Santa is kind to you all.

Love these trees! I’ve seen stamped wrapping paper before, but this one is adorable! The shape of the trees is kind of the best part – whimsical like a tree in Whoville!
