February 1, 2015

Sprout and Sparrow 2

I could never have enough prints in my kids room, it’s the one space in the house that just keeps looking cooler the more stuff I put in it. So for me, discovering this new-to-me store Sprout and Sparrow, full of Aussie designed and made goodness, was a bit exciting. You see, not only do their prints rock, but they are also only $20 each. Oh and one more thing, together in a cross promotion with Down That Little Lane, three of you are going to win a print of your choice, isn’t that exciting? I would pick this one just FYI.

Grey walls with decals and colourful furniture! That way it’s easy to change it up if you don’t know the sex of your baby, or as your kid likes different colours 🙂

I have 3 I really like. The ever faithful monochrome, lego colors or the beautiful new pastels.

Pastels are great until they’re teenagers, and you’ve got to add white or cream – you’ll never have trouble matching any decor and bits n pieces you come home with, OR win 😉 , with this as a backdrop.

I love pastels. Punky’s room is a pastel yellow and green, and Zee’s room is a pastel pink and green. Pastels just lend themselves to beautiful things and whimsy.

Related, I am moving the girls in to the one bedroom this year and converting the other in to a play room so now I know where I will be spending some money to decorate both rooms and help them feel like it is both of their room, not one or the others.

Althought I don’t have kids, I am totally obsessed with baby pink, whites and greys (of blue for a boy). I don’t want to be colour stereotyping but my gosh I think they look so good!

Are they your babies rooms? They look so cool I kinda want to move in..

I’m in love with neon colours at the moment. So there are white walls with splashes of neon pink, yellow, green and blue accessories.
