Threads – Mexican Summer Style

January 26, 2015

Yup, I just wrote a post entitled Mexican Summer on Australia Day. Please don’t tar and feather me just yet. Look at the dress! Just look at it! Doesn’t it deserve its own title? You see, it may be Australia Day, but it’s still an outfit post.

Yup, I just wrote a post entitled Mexican Summer on Australia Day. Please don't tar and feather me just yet. Look at the dress! Just look at it! Doesn't it deserve its own title? You see, it may be Australia Day, but it's still an outfit post.

I will be wearing this dress today, Australia Day, while I hang out in a caravan park drinking beer, eating lamingtons, watching the kids bail around on scooters, listening to Hottest 100. If the sun comes out we will move down to the lakes edge and spend the afternoon in boats and kayaks. We will be doing this from the country I love, the country that opened its arms to my family 27 years ago, the country that my children will enjoy their childhood in. A country full of crazy animals, amazing foods, free education and medical care, awesome landscapes, even better cultures and lovely lovely people.

I hope your day will be as perfect as mine, I hope you love this country for everything and everyone in it. And most of all I hope we can celebrate as a nation together today.

If you are as in love with this dress as I am you should pop over to Little Tienda and grab 20% off for 24hrs only this Australia Day – just enter 'hola2015

You big spunk! You look gorgeous in this outfit.

I was super duper lucky and managed to find this dress, in a gorgeous cobalt blue, at the Rozelle Markets in the weekend. As well as a fabulous Leona Edmiston sunfrock and a Country Road cotton peasant blouse. Lucky huh!

I have the blouse in the cobalt blue from Little Tienda. I took it on holiday to LA and people stopped me to ask where I got it from!
